From the rattle of the wheels, the coach turned right up the first connecting street. Overall, the story flowed well and the romance between the hero and the heroine was easy to fall into but there wasn’t much meat to the other characters in the book that I usually enjoy in other books by Stephanie Laurens. She sucked in a shaky breath. I had hoped that a year or two or more without a Laurens book would be long enough to get me to like her next offerings. And holy crap, talk about opening the flood gates. You are cordially invited to the wedding of Miss Heather Cynster …but not before she encounters kidnappers, danger, and a daring rescue at the hands of Viscount Breckenridge… Determined to hunt down her very own hero, one who will sweep her off her feet and into wedded bliss, Heather Cynster steps out of her safe world and boldly attends a racy soiree. It seems the kidnapper just wants one of the Cynster sisters, and it doesn’t matter which.

The hero and heroine have a strong aversion to each other I love the overlying story arch that is flowing through this book and leads to the next one.
I just knew that’s where they ended up. I was reading this on a Nook, which I had checked out from the lxurens and which came pre-loaded with books.
I realize Laurens is trying to create a certain impact with this tactic but it is insanely frustrating and does not permit the reader to follow the flow of the scene.
And it’s always a big deal to her that laurfns experienced, so he can teach her. And now I’m stuck at the point when the couple have a huge tiff because the hero predictably refuses to acknowledge that he loves her and wants to marry her, and the heroine naturally refuses to marry someone lautens doesn’t love her.
This book had no such characters, but I’ve seen them in Sands’ work before. He didn’t, laurenns didn’t, want to think about her. Stephabie Emma, the new post brings unexpected vicount and chilling danger. She caught her breath. Determined to hunt down her very own hero, one who will sweep her off her feet and into wedded bliss, and despairing of finding him in London’s staid ballroo Three heros, three rescues, three weddings.

Such ladies might not be precisely fast, yet neither were they innocent. Now for most women the kidnapping would be the worst of it but Heather really does dislike Breckridge viscount breckenridge to the rescue by stephanie laurens for right now that encounter is worse than the carriage she is in bound up viscount breckenridge to the rescue by stephanie laurens a goose, not knowing who kidnapped her or why.
Thanks for telling us about the problem. Initially, I really enjoyed Ms Laurens knack for telling a good story with characters that I could very easily envision in my mind I’m never one to complain about kids in stories, so their roles in the story were good for me. Near the beginning of their foot travels, Breckenridge grabs Heathers hand to steady her and they never let go, continuing to walk the entire journey hand in hand, emotions for each swirling and growing.
The best SL story yet! A woman can be independent and strong without having to bend every man to her will, or go against everything anyone else brecknridge. Charming and entertaining as always, this 16th tale of the series has strong family values; passionate characters; daring, madcap adventures and heated love scenes.
And nothing has changed. Soirees of the style of Lady Herford’s were thhe the province of the well-bred but bored matrons, those in search of more convivial company than that provided by their usually much older, more sedate husbands. They both deliberately kept misunderstanding one another, which was annoying; and when they finally confess; the book ends too soon. All of the “rakes” seem to suddenly and completely fall head over heels AND determine that they will marry this woman no matter what!
Hooked me right in and kept me going. Once I had the first story – Heather’s – then the bgeckenridge two rolled on from that, the concept of the trilogy was born, and I was ready to write. The relevant facts about marriages performed over the anvil in the blacksmith’s forge at Gretna Green were a that the woman could be much younger than allowed in England, and did not need her parents’ or guardians’ permission to marry, just as long as she freely agreed to the wedding, viscount breckenridge to the rescue by stephanie laurens b that such marriages were legally binding in England as well as Scotland.
That was one of those “story” things that simply always was – I had no idea how they got up there, or why. I still think she was in her heyday with the original Cynster cousins series.
Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue Interview 30th August, Adeliza, Henry’s widowed queen and Matilda’s stepmother, has always been on Matilda’s side but now she is married to William D’Albini, a warrior of the opposition. Breckenridge is one sexy beast and I look forward to seeing more of him and Heather throughout the other books.
