This surprises me, I thought udim was one of the best thing for texturing, I always found textures to be not enough detailed to my taste, and using 8k or more seemed the way to go, or there was this udim, but I never used it. I hate having to export models just to do a good UV xrayuhwrap, which is why Xrayunwrap 1.5 have been happy with XrayUnwrap. In many cases i find a really super basic unwrap still works OK with Substance painter – some xrayunwrap 1.5 wont work well with crappy Uvs, but overall all the generators based on mesh topology are fantastic.
