You can bypass issues loading urrdu file by base64 encoding the font jameel noori nastaleeq urdu fonts and inlining it with: Urdu font works fine on local in both pdf and debug mode but when deployed, it don’t render correctly in pdf file whereas it renders fine in debug mode. There is no problem in reading that file by the browser. There was a very long discussion about this on the unicode mailing list utdu I have not yet entirely read: This proposal has been twice rejected here so I am raising the issue on the ULS.

Hope no one objects There is a nice article on Nastaliq typesetting here. Habib 1 4 Alongwith these two fonts, a splendid “Jameel Noori Nastaleeq” font is also included. After installing “Urdu Font Installer” you will be able to view and read all Urdu websites in a better Nastaleeq font.
